Spot the ball - County Football Competition 2009!

County Football Competition 2009

On Saturday 21st November our Scouts took part in the County Football Competition at Stockland Green Leisure Centre.

A total of 9 teams took part, which were split into 2 leagues of 5 and 4.

The teams were then made to play each other once and points were awarded as follows;

3 points for a Win
1 point for Draw
0 points for a Loss

The winners of each League then played each other in the final.

Our team lost their 1st match 4-1 however, the score was helped a little by some very dodgy refereeing decisions!

We drew our 2nd game 1-1, a fair result we felt.

In our last game, we found our form and battered the opposition 6-4. We counted 7 and we think the referee miscounted!

We just missed out on a place in the final however, the 1st game we lost in the earlier stages was to the eventual winners of the competition, Tame Valley.

Well done to them.

We would like to thank the following Scouts for taking part;

Matthew, Reece, Jacob H, Connor, Ben, Ryan, Jacob D & Zach

We would also like to thank those parents who stayed behind to cheer on our gallant team.

All the best,

Skip, Adam & Jason
