Scout Meeting 02/11/09

Hi All,

On Monday 2nd November we celebrated the story of Guy Fawkes with our very own bonfire and fireworks display.

We also celebrated the Group's (2nd Wylde Green) 80th birthday.

Before going outside, the Troop were given a brief history of the Gunpowder Plot and a copy of the firework code was read out by one of the Scouts.

Out of our 4 Patrols, 2 of them were tasked with building bonfires, one Patrol was in charge of cooking hotdogs and the fourth Patrol made Guy himself.

The two bonfires were different in their design and both burned well throughout the meeting.

As you will see from the pics, the Guy was both 'armless (and legless) and was punished a treat!

Hotdogs were dished out to all and the evening was finished off with some fireworks.

At the end of our meeting, we were given a lovely piece of birthday cake.
