District Football Competition May 2010

Hi Scouts,

On Saturday 15th May we took part in this year's District football competition.

The weather was perfect for the event, the winner of which goes through to the County competition in November.

We managed to field the minimum team requirement of 6 (no subs!), but this meant that we wouldn't be able to rest any of our players .

The other teams appeared to have more players to choose from and some individuals were of questionable age in our opinion judging by their height!

The matches were also played in very quick succession due to one of the Scout Groups not turning up, which meant that there was very little rest in between games.

Needless to say we lost, but at least we took part and managed to score some cracking goals against older and much taller opposition.
