Air Rifle Shooting 06/02/2011

Air Rifle Shooting 06/02/11

Hi All,

On Sunday 6th February we restarted our association with the Sutton Coldfield Rifle & Pistol Club.

A good turn out of Scouts assembled in the clubhouse for a short safety briefing, followed by some training and then straight into shooting targets from 20 yards.

The troop were also given the opportunity to try different types of air rifles, from the very basic to a competition hunting version with telescopic sight.

We were also allowed to use the clubs spotting scopes to zoom in on the targets.

The Troop conducted themselves very responsibly and several Scouts showed a high level of skill in marksmanship.

The event will be held once a month for the next 5 months and will be used to achieve the Master at Arms badge if desired.

Members of the Troop will also be allowed to attend during normal club sessions should they wish to take their interest further.

It was a very enjoyable couple of hours and many thanks to Charles, Peter and other members of the club for their time and effort.

Best regards,

Calico & Chief
