As you would know, due to start quite soon are some major building improvement works. In order to accommodate a (likely) February 4th commencement date, the Spring Rummage Sale has had to be brought forward a month, BUT, having had a shorter ‘collection time’ we do not have sufficient content - especially clothing and toys - for a good sale.
We do need your help to ensure that we have sufficient to sell.
Firstly, having had, no doubt, many new items for Christmas, please send down to the Hall ANY amount of old or discarded men’s, ladies and children’s, clothing as well as bags and shoes etc. and any, now, discarded toys and games. Secondly, please speak to all of your immediate neighbours with your offer to relieve them of general RUMMAGE in the form of
- Men’s, ladies and children’s clothing and shoes
- Handbags of all shapes and sizes
- Linen, curtains, fabrics and the like
- Toys, games, books, records, CD’s, DVD’s
- General bric-a-brac including china, glass, jewellery, garden tools, lamps, wooden bits, pots and pans, plates, old radios, TVs, kettles, teas-maids, cases, vases, etc.
Please do ensure as much content as possible is sent down each week in January.
The RUMMAGE SALE is only a success if the people there to buy have lots of the items that have been collected for sale.
GWYN LLOYD Group Chairman
P.S. If, albeit unlikely, your neighbours have no rummage at present, do ask them to save any for your collection for the next Rummage Sale.
