| Scout Meeting 05/05/11 |
Hi All,
On Thursday 5th May we showed the Scouts how to lay and light a simple fire, a skill that will be very useful on all the camps we will be going on.
However when we are on camp, the Scouts need to remember that they will have to collect the wood as well as chop it themselves first!
Each group managed to get a good fire going and once they were established, Calico (Jason) showed the Scouts how to make good old American s'mores.
A s'more (sometimes spelled "smore") is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of a roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker.

All the best,
The Scout Leaders
