| Scout Meeting 11th Jan 2010 |
Hi All,
It was good to see so many Scouts come back, fit and well after the Christmas holidays.
During our first meeting of the New Year we decided to play lots of games, organise the Patrols and get started with some of the dreaded, but necessary, administration.
As there was a healthy, undisturbed covering of snow in the HQ grounds, we asked each Patrol in turn to create a masterpiece from their allotted area of snow in the garden.
The results of their efforts can be seen by clicking on the image at the top if this report.
You can also see some of the other activities we got up to which took place indoors.
At the end of our meeting, Alan Underwood announced his stepping down as Scout Leader, and passed the role of 'Skip' onto myself, Adam.
I know I have some very big shoes to fill and I will endeavour to carry on with all the good work that Alan has started.
However we will still call on Alan as often as he will allow us, to assist on Camps and with other activities or meetings throughout the year.
Thanks Alan, you may regret the offer!
Alan concluded the official end of the meeting by performing flag down.
We finished off the evening with a massive snowball fight which everyone seemed to enjoy.
I'm also sure I spotted several parents joining in as well!
Here's looking forward to another great year of Scouting in 2010.
All the best,
The Scout Leaders
